3i is a leader in private equity & venture capital. Its Growth Capital Fund is the world’s largest, investing over $1bn per year in businesses across Europe.
Significance
3i’s investment, of £37mn for a minority stake in Kneip, will assist this Luxembourg outsourcing business to expand its geographical reach, allowing it to build on its wide customer base.
For 3i, it was an opportunity to invest in a BPO business with a strong customer offering, built on knowledge & a technology intensive platform, in the growing European fund management industry.
